Elf Euro 102

Kart fuel produced to CIK specifications, to replace Elf CIK 102 -Unleaded

Drum sizes available: 20litre & 50litre

The specifications of Elf Euro 102 are:

Unleaded racing fuel for 2 stroke engines

RON:  101.6

MON:  89.4

Oxygen Content:  2.6%

Density:  0.763

Sulpher:  0.005%

Benzene:  0.05%

 APPLICATIONS

  • Produced to the specifications of the CIK-FIA European and World Championships.
  • The blending of ELF EURO 102 allows to satisfy the most severe requirements regarding power of the engines and resistance against pinking. In particular it gives a positive answer to the high speed of combustion requested by 100 cc engines running at high rpm, and resistance against detonation for the 125 cc engines.
  • Furthermore ELF EURO 102 meets the demands of environmental protection issues, even far beyond the requirements applicable for pump fuels: the benzene content is 0.13%, sulphur content is below 0.005 % and vapour pressure is limited to 500 hPa (limitation of the loss by evaporation and of the content of hydrocarbons in the air).
  • The optimum yield could be obtained by an appropriate engine mapping (ignition advance, compression and air/fuel ratios).

RECOMMENDATIONS

  • Best results are obtained for equivalent air/fuel ratios between 1.20 and 1.30 corresponding to CO emission levels from the tail pipe between 4 and 6%. An optimum protection against wear and tightening risks will be obtained by the association of this fuel with our Racing lubricant HTX 909, particularly designed for 100 cc Kart engines using unleaded fuel (recommended percentage is 5 to 6 % depending upon the type of the engine). For 125 cc engines the best results are achievable with HTX 976 Racing lubricant (4 to 5%).
  • In order to maintain the original properties, and according to Health and Safety regulations of commercial fuels, this gasoline shall be handled and stored in a cool place and always maintained in tightly shut drums.
  • The petroleum streams carefully selected to blend this fuel allow to guarantee an optimum level of engine performance as well as protection against knock. Furthermore, the reduced vapour pressure and the extremely low benzene content are typical improvements in terms of Safety and Health purposes.

This fuel contains greater than 1% MTBE and isNOT to be used in watercraft on fresh lakes and waterways.
