In 2006, Elf WRF has been chosen as the control fuel for the Australian Rally Championship.
The presence of Elf fuel at the epicenter of rally competition isn’t a recent occurrence, it is a longstanding tradition. Elf WRF was the control fuel for the 2004 and 2005 Australian Rally Championships. Elf WRF (World Rally Fuel) is specially produced as control fuel for the World Rally Championship and several European Rally Championships.
Elf is the motorsport research and competition arm of the multinational TOTAL group. As an FIA sanctioned fuel supplier, the Elf brand has had a long and successful relationship with motorsport, particularly within the intensity of World Rally.
Prior to the tender process for the 2006 championship, Elf received encouraging feedback and support for from top rally teams and identities including senior staff at Team Toyota Racing, Team Mitsubishi Ralliart, Les Walkden Rally and Steve Glenney Racing all of whom strongly recommended the continued use of Elf WRF as control fuel.
Elf’s association with the 2006 ARC ensures that all competitors will continue to use Elf WRF. Designed to comply with the strict specifications set by the FIA (CAMS approved: Schedule G). Elf WRF is unleaded, has a RON rating of 102 Octane and contains 2.6% oxygen. Each drum of Elf WRF can be identified by batch number which can be tracked and acts as a proof of quality for both competitors and officials.
Chosen again as the official control fuel, Elf look forward to a successful and prosperous 2006 Australian Rally Championship.
