Race Results: Elf a clear winner after A.G.P.

Elf racing fuels clearly dominated at the 2006 Australian Grand Prix Event.
In the lead up to race Jeff Beaumont (the Rally Master) continued his recent form to with the Grand Prix Rally in his Mitsubishi Evo 6. The Grand Prix Rally is run over four days before the Grand Prix weekend, the event is a mix of challenging tarmac competition and navigation. Well done to navigator Ross Runnalls. Jeff’s Evo 6 runs on Elf Turbomax and is prepared by specialist Evo tuners Techsport Pty Ltd.
Warren Gainsmith with Navigator Jenny Cole showed that the Gainsville GTR is back in action and will be hard to beat later in the year. The Gainsville GTR runs on Elf LMS and took out second place in the Grand Prix rally.
The support events for the weekend included four Formula Three races. The F3 support event is taken very seriously and is an opportunity to showcase driving talent and team work in font of both the huge public attendance and the Formula Teams present.
With a familiar name to F1 racing, Bruno Senna (nephew of legend Ayrton) created a lot of media interest before the racing had even started. Bruno Senna was managed by Team BRM (Adelaide Elf agents) for the weekend. The top Australian Formula Three teams run on Elf LMS as per the European Championships. Bruno won three of the four races to take the overall standings for the weekend. It was evident that Team BRM’s professionalism matched the talent of Bruno Senna.
This where looking good for Elf when Jenson Button took pole position on Saturday with Elf fuel inside the three fastest cars in qualifying (Elf are fuel suppliers to Honda F1).
On Race day it was Fernando Alonso who took control of the race early to claim his first Australian F1 Grand Prix. An excellent results for the Renault F1 Team who have won all three F1 races this year. The Renault Formula One cars run on Elf F1 Fuel. This fuel is very similar in make up and spec. to Elf Atmo Rallye.
Every category in which Elf racing fuel is allowed to be used was won during the Australian Grand Prix.
