Elf WRF: control fuel for the 2007 Australian Rally Championship
05 March 2007
In keeping with the spirit of providing cost saving initiatives to the NEC Australian Rally Championship, plans have been released today confirming the continuation of a control fuel for competitors. As was the case throughout the 2006 Championship season two levels of control fuel will be utilized, a 102 Octane High Performance fuel and a more price-sensitive 98 Octane Rally fuel.
All registered NEC ARC competitors will be required to use one of the two control fuels. The allocation of these control fuel supply rights was made after an extensive public tender process and was subsequently approved by the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport Ltd.
The High Performance Rally (102 Octane) fuel will be Elf WRF. This fuel will be for use by NEC ARC level 1 competitors utilising turbo 4x4 cars, manufacturer entries, the front running Privateers’ Cup teams, and all Super 2000 category entrants and will be delivered by the supplier direct to the teams. 2007 marks the fourth year that Elf WRF has been the control fuel for leading competitors in the Australian Rally Championship. |
